Denise and Teresa had a full day of activities and a chance to re-connect with their former Ohio baby-birds from last year who are now full-fledged racers in their own right. Of course the Purple Hearts also met up with this year's team from Purdue who they will mentor for the remainder of the race.

The Air Race Classic organizers put on a rattlesnake handling show as well as a rodeo and a BBQ for all of the racing teams. The event serves as a chance to wind down after the involved check-in process and have some fun in-between the race briefings, rule outlines, and safety checks.
