Purple Hearts Archer meets Teresa's 2OK2 neighbors

After a relaxing morning and some well deserved talk time on the back porch, Denise and Laurie got ready to go back into town to relocate the Archer to the Newalla, OK hangar for the night. The ladies got the plane fueled and navigated around Tinker Air Force Base and Will Rogers International airport traffic to the Southeast of Oklahoma City. Teresa recently re-located to a hangar/home and purchased a sixteenth share of the 2OK2 private airport.

Though the runway can be a tad challenging due to stiff Oklahoma winds at times and the narrow runway of only 30 feet wide, Laurie took a loop around the patch and made a perfect landing to relocate the Purple beast to load up for the race. Denise took advantage of the on-field expertise of David Ames, an EAA veteran of over 930 Young Eagle flights to provide some space and shade for a fresh oil change in his spacious hangar.

Along with some additional help from plane friendly neighbors, the ladies tugged Denise's purple Archer over to Teresa's hangar for the night. After a tasty celebratory dinner at Cracker Barrel the team enjoyed sharing ice cream with Greg and Dianne Chapman at their beautiful home and toured their hangar and nearly complete RV-8 project.
